Mindy McConnell Announces Candidacy for Louisiana 2nd District Congressional Seat
New Orleans, LA - January 16, 2021 - Local educator and citizens’ advocate enters race for U.S. Representative in Louisiana’s 2nd Congressional District.
McConnell’s goals for office are to prioritize the rights and needs of Louisiana residents. “As Louisianans and Americans, now is the time to take a stand for less big government involvement in our lives. I will be a strong voice for my fellow citizens from all parties and communities who want better outcomes for the future of our country.”
McConnell’s platform focuses on government transparency, reform, deregulation, decriminalization, and economic freedom. She is an advocate for parents’ rights in educating their children and for protecting and promoting Louisiana’s natural resources.
McConnell lives in New Orleans, LA with her son. She is currently a public school principal in Central City. McConnell graduated from Archbishop Hannan High School and attended Northwestern State University and Western Michigan University Cooley Law School.
